Sea Shepherd Names New Vessel the S.S. Jairo Mora Sandoval

S.S. Jairo Mora SandovalUpdate 11/22/2013 -I was just reading Captain Paul Watson’s Facebook page and he made the statement while the other ships are getting ready to deploy, the new Jairo Mora Sandoval “is engaged in a “mission”  that will be announce at a later date”. In my opinion, the ship is in Japan and will be shadowing the Nisshin Maru.

On the Facebook account of Sea Shepherd Captain Paul Watson, he announced today, the addition of yet another ship to the Sea Shepherd fleet. This yet to be revealed ship will have the name of the S.S. Jairo Mora Sandoval, a 26 year old sea turtle conservationist who was murdered last month at Playa Moin beach on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.

On May 31st of this year jario was walking late at night near a turtle nesting area on the beach near the city of Limón when he was abducted and murdered. Paul Watson wanted to honor the life of this courageuos and passionate young man and, “…hopefully this will help to keep his memory alive”.

Paul is offering a $30,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime.

The new vessel, the S.S. Jairo Mora Sandoval will be unveiled this August honoring the life of this echo warrior. Just as soon as I have more information on the new vessel or images, I will post them here.
